Default My Radio id dead.

I have been away for some time. Happy new year folks.

My radio appears to be dead or maybe the fuse is blown. Does not come on when I push the button. Wondering to solve this problem.

Does it come on if you press one of the mode selection buttons (ie tape, CD, AM/FM)?

No, it doesn't come. Whatever button I press I get no response.

If it’s a fuse there are two:

#9 (10 amp) in the left hand side heelboard box which is located behind the carpet cover in between the rear seat and floor; and

#3 (5 amp) in the fuse box in the trunk.

If you’re not sure where those are, the PDF shows the location of all of your fuse boxes.

Hopefully this helps…

The on / off button is an encoder like on the earlier X300 Jaguar / Alpine AJ9500A control head and that sometimes can be replaced

there are 2 different versions of the control head between the years of X308 production

the early years are more like the x300 version

Your year may be the crossover point

On the VDP you probably have the premium setup using the round cable ( problem area ) from the head to feed an amplifier in the trunk with it's own fuse

You can feel for the amplifier getting warm by feeling it as it has a form of internal protection leaving the fuse not blown

Do you get any display of tuning frequency in the head ?

Complete lack of power in the head unit sounds very much like a toasted fuse. If that proves
not to be the case, then check your grounding.

Folks, thanks for all your responses. The issue is fixed. Just by pressing down the fuses and relays in the truck fuse box. Seems some fuses were loose.
