I traced a trans fluid leak to the multipin electrical connector on the casing, and am having trouble locating the o rings pictured below. I have PN JLM 21110 and 21111 for the inner and outer o rings on the connector socket, but have not been able to find a PN for the red o ring which was on the plug itself. SNG and Welsch have nothing available. Before I search for generic o rings with similar dimensions does anyone happen to know a source for these? Many thanks.
I would ask the MB people. Even though, I think generic I rings would work. But start with asking the Mercedes people. Tell them you have a 722.6 trans, and what you need.
Its deal day for ya...I have a new one and will give it to you if you want to pay the shipping? You have to order the whole connector to get the O-rings. PM me and we'll work out the details.
Brandon, thanks for the advice to check MB, and Highhorse thanks for the offer but I'm all set. For those with this Mercedes trans a reminder that parts from that source are often cheaper than Jaguar. As Highhorse mentions one needs to purchase the entire connector to get the o-rings - I just paid $13 for the OEM Mercedes part vs $70+ for the Jag part from SNG. I also see an aftermarket replacement for $5 on Ebay. I need to call the Mercedes dealer to check on the red 0-ring for the plug that goes into the connector - can anyone tell me if this is a potential source for a leak (oil inside the electrical connector?!) or is this just to seal out dirt and water? Thanks again.
