Boot open stays on. I can use force and open my trunk pressing down quick while pressing the button. Problem is i cannot lock my car anymore bc of the boot open alarm. Got a new part and need a step by step guide. Searched and didnt see one, but i figure someone has it. Thanks

You might be able to skip (step number 2. Remove trunk lamp assemblies. Refer to <<86.45.16>>) on page 1.

Here is what is in the Remove trunk lamp assemblies procedure:

"Carefully release lamp tangs from trunk lid trim, position lamp for access, disconnect harness multiplug and remove lamp from trunk."

The tangs that hold these 2 lamps in are very brittle and break easily (I know from experience - I broke one recently).

Using your guide it took me about 40 minutes to do the whole job. Turns out my old actuator was fine and the locking mechanism was actually the broken part. Car locks again! Thanks again!
