Default No fuel pressure at Schrader valve

Trying to get my 1998 XJR started again. A couple of months ago, one of the coolant hoses under the supercharger ruptured. Car overheated and stalled. I don't think it got hot enough to do extensive damage, but I don't know yet. Due to family medical issues, I had to take a couple months off from working on the car. I've got everything reassembled properly (I think), but I'm not getting any fuel pressure at the schrader valve. I can hear the fuel pump(s) running when I jumper the relays, but the valve only gives a tiny spray of fuel when depressed.

Where might I look? Both fuel pumps replaced a year ago with fuel filter. Very few miles on it since then, and the tank is almost half full. Any ideas? Thanks

Royce

Well, just because its new, doesn't mean its working. I'm betting you may have another bad pump? A fuel pressure gauge would be your cheapest and best way to determine that.

I'm starting with the fuel filter. Not sure how a brand new filter could get clogged with so little use, but I can find out if the problem is behind the filter or in front of it

After more diagnosis, it appears to be fuel pumps. Both of them, brand new less than a year ago. I've ordered two more (with lifetime guarantee this time).

Sorry to hear that....these are the ones I bought back in 2014 and still going strong (of course this just cursed me). It isn't available from these folks, but the part # is helpful.

UPDATE: After futher examination, fuel pumps are working, fuel filter is not clogged, and fuel is not reaching the fuel rail. Any ideas?

Further update: When I jumper the fuel pump relay in the trunk, I can hear the pump operate. There is pressure in the fuel rail while the pump is on, but pressures drops to nothing when pump is off. When pump is on, I can hear fuel moving somewhere in the engine compartment. I don't see any leaks. Is it possible it's going back to the tank return line somehow?
