Default No part number for valve guides?!?

The parts diagrams do not show a valve guide, only a spring seat/seal.

Does anyone here have a part number for the valve guides?

From Jaguar, they are probably NSS. (Not Sold (or serviced) Separately.

Jaguar likely expected the head to be replaced with the guides installed. (reman or NEW)

I do see a listing for the inlet and exhaust SEATS but not guides.

A machine shop should be able to duplicate the dimensions from 'generic' bronze guides?
Maybe Ford supplies them for the 3.9 liter LS or Thunderbird engine?(very similar engine)

That's kind of what I figured. It's very frustrating as I would prefer to work on the heads after taking the valves etc. out. I may just have to see what kind of improvements I can make to the ports, combustion chamber, etc. with the valves still in.

Most of the machine shops I have talked to in my area have either told me to kick rocks after mentioning Jaguar, or given me an absurd price combined with the stipulation that I provide all of the parts/shims for a rebuild. It doesn't even look like there are shim kits available, just individual pieces very likely NLA or "backordered" *sigh*

That's a good idea to check for some from Ford. I'll at least look into that before moving on.

Yes, it certainly is true. Jaguar does not seem to invoke much love
from the shops in my area either

I used to 'rescue' damaged engines from the scrap heap at the dealer so I managed to collect more than 'half-a-dozen' engines for parts.(from overheated or 'nikasil' engines)

You might find a 'core' engine returned to a salvage yard for the lifter shims?
