Hey guys,
Im currently upgrading the lower sc pulley and was wondering if this o-ring needs to be replaced.
I couldnt find anything on the internet and Im struggling to even name this thing
Would appreciate any help
thanks
Can't really replace that. It looks like you're pointing to the damper materiel between the inner hub and the outer pulley. And it looks to be in good condition. Now there is a tiny, or I should say thin, o-ring that rides in that little groove you see in the photo just inside the bore, between the pulley and the crank snout - that IS critical.

ahhh I see what you mean. Seems to be in good condition to me. Should I lubricate it before reinstallation?
As Bob says, its likely brittle now from age and heat-cycling unless its already been replaced more recently. Probably break or crack when you try to put the pulley back on. And in any case always good practice to replace all seals and o-rings when you have easy access to them. You need to order a replacement o-ring. KSC145624. Its only a couple of bucks, probably the cheapest genuine Jaguar part you'll ever purchase.
