Default OBD - what do you use?

Looking for a reader that can read/write to all our modules, not just the engine.
My IDS kit has finally found the recycling bin!

Any good solutions out there while I’ve been off forum??

the x431 launches and their copy paste clones have some bidirectional controls. blue box autologic can do a lot too but that thing is expensive and old.

never gonna be an IDS though

WDS is what we used up until 2006. (IDS after that)

Don't know much about SDD.

If you are going to have old cars, you need old repair devices.

Ok, so what make/model reader will get the job done at an acceptable price/point?
There are so many choices the average user may be intimidated.
