Default OEM Headunit Retromod

Hey All,

I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to or had their OEM head-unit rebuilt to feature bluetooth streaming and setup the keypad system to be used with a smartphone? I've bought some bits from discountcarstereo.com and their great but i'm curious to hear back if anyones done this?

Also wondering if anyone experimented with something like this?

Hi everyone, I have the same problem, but in MY2021. Any ideas where the microphone might be? I think it might have stayed in the same place, but before I dismantle so many things, I'd like to make sure Maybe replacing it with a different one or moving it to a different location will improve the call quality?

Nilanium post has a schematic that may be helpful, as may the other respondents....https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ration-177574/
For more ideas, do a search, "X308 Bluetooth interface", There are a number of mods done for this in various forms. I'd pick ones from the list with the paperclip symbol, they have visual attachments of some type.

I will be sending my head unit to these guys at some point, seems like an ideal solution without sacrificing the OEM look or having to butcher anything.

I have installed the module that you can get from discount car audio and let me tell you, one of the best installs I’ve ever done. It worked out amazing, high quality Bluetooth streaming through the Cd changer, as soon as you enter the vehicle you’re connected definitely worth it

I've used the DIscount Car Stereo Jag-CD and Jag-CDR AUX cables on my XK8 and X308 https://www.discountcarstereo.com/jag-cd.html. I've then used the Aux input to connect a Bluetooth Streamer (and DAB unit). I've also got the JagDroid mod on the X308 but the AUX solution provides much better quality amd more flexibility too. They shp to the UK.

Quick question, did you ever get the ground feedback whine on your install? I can't seem to get rid of it on mine.

No I didn’t run into any issue, I would double check the harness and go from there good luck!
