Default Oil After Break In

I had my 98 xj8 engine rebuilt 2000 miles ago. I put valvoline 5w30 conventional in for 500 miles. Then changed it out with fresh 5w30 conventional valvoline for the next 1500 miles. I want to put Mobil 1 5w30 in now. Do you think after 2000 miles that everything is broken in nicely and that the Mobil 1 will be fine to use? I want to use a nice synthetic and I like Mobil 1.

Thanks

Make sure the oil meets both the Jag spec and viscosity requirements. As for brand and type, (synthetic or dino) pick the one that pleases you most.
