Oil pan removal
Thanks to this forum I will be tackling the replacement of the secondary tensioners with a lot more confidence.
I notice people take off the oil pan and fish for tensioner bits. How easy is this to do? What else should I be looking for once the pan is off. Can I clean the oil pick-up screen?
Thanks,
Dan

Dan:
I don't think I'd fish unless I found some big chunks missing. If you decide to go there, I'ts pretty simple, just lots of little bolts. and yep, there is a screen. As I remember, no gaslet, just sealer.

Thanks Ross,
I think I may let sleeping dogs lie. From the valve covers off recently to fix leaks I know that only one tensioner (red, 2nd gen.?) has a relatively small crack. I'll still do the tensioners for PM.
