Other Ford alternators for XJ8

Hi All. I live in Oz where they want stupid prices for my 1998 xj8 alternator.
Ive read the 2000 Lincoln Ls is the same engine block and the alternator (8 times cheaper than here !! ) is the same.
D
Can anyone confirm this please? Tks

I just remove the alt and take it to a local starter/generator rebuilder.

The parts are the same as some Toyota (Denso) alternators so they are available here in the US.
