Took the family, pets, XJR-100 and headed out of Jacksonville and Mathews path, safe and sound in Pensacola. (Mrs wasn't thrilled I insisted on bringing the XJR, already had two other cars in the caravan!)

Oh, I'm well jaded, but when the winds hit 140mph sustained and show the eye wall barreling over your neighborhood...........time to go.

Did you end up bringing the wife? Difficult decisions...

I'd have taken the car too, especially if it is a rare vehicle like yours. I remember seeing on the news last year when there were floods in the south of the UK a man escaping the floods in his prized Triumph Stag, with water up to the top of the wheel arches!

I waited it out here just on the other side of the intercoastal from jacksonville beach. Sustained minor damage. Fortunately our house was sitting higher than any other house on our street while the next door neighbors car flooded in their driveway.
