Ok, I just had to drive to Pittsburgh this last week for work, the drive there wasn't bad, but the drive home on Friday in the snow was not as fun.

Anyways, when the car 03 XJ8 goes into overdrive at around 50mph or so, or almost 60mph in sport mode. I get a noise that sounds like a fan kicking in... I am thinking it is time for a transmission flush (which I was planning to do soon anyways) but I want other opinions. Has anyone else heard this type of noise or is this normal? I know the other 4 XJ8's that I drove I did not notice this noise, but maybe it was because of the short test drives.

Any thoughts or suggests would be helpful. Planning a full Synthetic Transmission flush soon, but was hoping not to do this until January (expect a nice bonus check).
