Default P1638 after instrument cluster removal

Dear Jag enthusiasts,

I replaced the reach motor cable in my XJR and had to remove the instrument cluster. After putting everything back together I noticed the check engine light and discovered error code P1638. The instrument cluster appears to be working fine and the car runs great. I am concerned that when reattaching the instrument cluster connectors a pin may have been bent.
How can I resolve the error code?

Thanks, SP

Yes definitely check the pins, maybe you just didn't plug it back fully?

Thanks for your suggestion. I pushed the instrument cluster connectors in with extra force and thankfully the error went away.
