Parked for 5 years. What now?
Hey,
My VDP has been parked for 5 years in a garage while I attended medical school. It has been on a trickle charger the whole time. It starts fine (which is crazy tbh). I am not sure what my plan is for the car since I now live across the country from where it is parked and I do not currently need a car.
The interior has some surface mold that I can wipe away. What should I use to prevent this from reoccurring? The car is parked in a humid environment.
If I were to drive my car around very little, like 50 miles spread out over the next month, what maintenance should I perform now to prevent something catastrophic from occurring, without spending much $$ or time on it since I will not be driving it much? I am temporarily relocated due to the pandemic and need to drive it a bit before I leave town again for a long time.
I drove it around the corner and other than worn suspension, I actually seems to drive pretty well so far.
I miss these X308s!

The Force is Strong in this one....
Fuel filter
Oil
Maybe a fuel injection cleaning
Check the tires for weather checking and the born date...its the last 4 digits of a varied 12 digit code that has DOT before it. The 1st 2 are the week it was produced, the last 2 are the year.... 2818....28th week, 2018. Should be next to the bead above the rim. Tires over 10 yrs old should be replaced.
Check for vacuum leaks...though the car runs fine, hoses shrink and harden.
A coat of leather rejuvenation
For the mold, that's a catch 22, from where you park, to how you wax and polish it. Is it in a garage?
Excellent use of the Battery Tender, I fight diligently for folks to use these, even if the car is only sitting for 10 days or so. I travel extensively, so I know.
A trip over to BT's Smokehouse in Sturbridge once the pandemic subsides...the bison burger will change your life. If I'm up there, I'll buy.
