Default Pedal Position Sensor & Throttle Body

I have a faulty pedal positon sensor that was causing all the issues -- limp home, gearbox fault, no /ASC.

Diagnosis was pedal position sensor. I came to believe the only solution was to bight the bullet and buy a new throttle body. Prices ranged from about 2400 to 3000 USD.

Have not put it in yet. I am thibking that there are other components of the throttle body that could age out similarly and best to replace the whole shebang.

Thoughts?

Thanks

There are 2 TPSs on the X308 and can be read very easily with a meter . Do you have any codes ?

Would have to verify the correct year in the drawing below

Use the advance search feature with key word throttle body. You will find threads for a company that rebuilds the throttle body for a lot less than a new one. They have a very good reputation for service.
