my 2000 XJR has LJA2610AA remote. will LJA2610BB remote work on my car also? ( not to confused with Post-2000 MYs they came with another fob)

 

The buttons are the DEAD GIVEAWAY.

 

You need 310hz. Any fob with 433hz won't work

 

LJA2610AA operates at 315 MHz
LJA2610BB (as well as previous LJA2610BA), operates at 433.9 MHz so it won't work on your car

It appears that there was no other p/n superseding LJA2610AA so you need to look for this exact number. The above mentioned two remotes may look the same but they should have different frequencies written on the back, 315 or 433.9 MHz.

Yes, post 2000 remotes are again different. They have LJE prefix and they won't work in place of any LJA remotes.
