Default PSsteering pump rebuild

Hello folks , Looking for info.... PS pump on 2001 XJ8 failed on Wife's cruiser, took same off my 1998 XJR, got her going, driving truck for now. Secured a KOTEK PS pump rebuild kit..... now have not been able to find torque values for the 4 bolts thru the back into the body of the pump ( impeller side) anyone done this or is aware of how tight a Guy does them, don't want to destroy the very (delicate) nice gasket they have supplied, Cheers, Michael

I believe King Charlz recently did his, say about 3-5 months ago? Do a site search for his posts. Keep in mind, its a hydraulic item and I haven't seen one that isn't rebuildable. Be sure to flush the fluid out of the rack also and replenish new. Doing that alone fixes many issues.

Does the rebuild kit include new bearings? I THINK mine is dieing and squealing/chirping when cold...

In the absence of info on torque values in the workshop manual, I use the standard torque table, as attached.

Thank You all,
When I re & re'd the '98 pump onto the '01 4.0 litre we flushed the system.
Daim, there are no bearings included with this seal kit , KOTEK PS Seal Kit, #SK-9282. 2- "o" rings, 2- gaskets, 1-seal,........ bearings , I am confident would be able to be sourced locally, the existing bearing spin very nicely, was the deteriorated main body gasket that let go, yes the generic value chart is much appreciated, spring is on it's way and wish to have the tire shredder (XJR) back in the stable , ready to dance. Great forum. Cheers
