A bit of a radiator issue today as I was helping my 17 year old son replace the fan cowling in his 2001 XJ8L, as he replaced the left upper cowling bolt there was a cascade of coolant as the bolt apparently pierced or fractured the radiator. After the damage I noted the original cowling had about 1/4 inch thicker bushing around the fastening bolts. Just looking for opinions as to if this type of damage could be repaired or perhaps a good source for a replacement radiator.

 

I think you are out of luck on radiator options. You will need a OEM part. Try Gaudin for a price, or ebay. A used one is always a possibility, but it's hard to tell how good it is. At least check with a local shop for the possibility of repair, but it's unlikely.
