Default Rear adaptive shock wiring question

I just finished a rear diff remove and replace on my 2003 xjr r1, which was much harder than advertised by posters. Not only was everything really heavy, really tight, and really complicated, but it required every bit of skill I have developed over almost 40 years turing wrenches in my driveway. The good news is that the car runs great, despite ordering the wrong diff from a boneyard, who then sent the right one by accident. The bad new is that I now have a suspension fault. My guess is that I stretched the right rear wire attached to the top of the right rear adaptive shock. So, does anybody know how to replace that wire without removing the shock? Those of us who have done this know what a tough job that is. Also, does anybody know how to test the wire for continuity to confirm this is the issue?

Kudos to you for a bugger of a job. You know the route the cable takes, so I'm afraid there's no easy answer. Looking at the shock turret, there's no access to the top of the shock once in place.

The springs seat in the lower wishbone, with little access to a spring compressor. The only practical way is to remove the lower half of the rear subframe to allow the lower wishbones to drop far enough for the spring to be released. With the spring out the way, the rest of the unit can be accessed.

Checking would be to tap into the wires, either under the rear seat, or split the armour shielding underneath and compare resistance? on either side.

Ok, so now I am going to go back and fixt the wire I broke going to the right rear shock. Before I do that, does anybody have the part number for the wire? Also, does anybody know where the back end, the end not attached to the shock is connected?

John - they're connected to the rear harness on both sides in the rear seat wells. If you lift up the seat you'll see a connection going through the floorpan, and a sealed rubber grommet going to the shock end.

The picture shows the two link leads connecting to the rear harness.

Part number is LNF 3425BB
It includes both ABS wheel speed sensor link lead and CATS lead, if you stretched one, maybe the other too.....
