Default Rear axle absolutely stuck in hub

Hi all! I’m trying to change out my rear hub bearings following this excellent guide and came to a huge road block. I loosened the lower hub pivot bolt, and removed the axle nut but can not get the splined hub flange to separate from the axle shaft. I tried everything between a rented hub puller, kroil bolt penetrant, a bit of heat from a MAPP torch and even quite a few wallops with a mini sledge hammer to try to break the hub/axle free. This was on the right side, and I haven’t attempted the left side yet. My car has lived an easier life in the southeast and thus has zero rust and minimal corrosion so I can’t figure out how the heck this axle shaft is stuck on the hub so bad. I’ve also swapped several splined axles and hub assemblies on other cars over the years and have encountered some that were a bit stubborn but nothing anywhere near approaching the level of what I’m dealing with on my X308.

Does anyone have any ideas with what else I can try short of removing the entire rear hub/upright and buying a press? That really seems like it should be unnecessary for what should be a fairly simple job, but I’m all ears at this point.

Jaguar uses a threadlocking compound on the splines.

The hubs usually come off with a 5 lb. sliding hammer but.....................

You can remove the 4 bolts on the diff output flange and pull the entire assy , axle and all, for setup in a large press?

When I get a car in the shop for CATASTROPHIC FAILURE of the bearings and aluminum hub, I just find a good-used replacement from a salvage yard and replace the bearings with all the OEM shims and spacers so I don't have to go through the bearing setup procedure of a NEW HUB.(time consuming and shim selection)
I ask for the axle and ALL. Check the 'U'joints.

If you destroy your hub, just find a suitable replacement?(lots of sedans in the salvage yards)
