Our 2001 XJ8 rear sensors gives a solid sound warning as soon as we put the gearshift into reverse. It started 2 days ago.

We have had abnormal cold weather (with snow and ice storms) the past few weeks.

I noticed that the rear bumper and the rear sensors had a lot of road chemicals and dirt accumulation.

I was able to use car wash on the rear bumper this morning and clean the rear sensors.

Problem solved, rear sensors warning is now working properly.
