I was asked to order parts to bring a Japan imported lowered Daimler back to its original ride height.
Problem is; I am making the parts list remotely, as I did not see the car, and she is 400km away.
Am I forgetting something?
- front & rear springs (Daimler LWB / probably used)
- front and rear shocks (CATS or traditional - depending owner's choice)
- front uppers (CATS or traditional - depending owner's choice)
- front & rear packers in correct thickness
- Rear donuts
- Camber parts (depending check - front arm or bolt / rear spacer??)
Enclosed the only recent pic of the car, to me it seems its got quite some camber, so they probably did not modify the parts related to that.
Ha, as mentioned, we will reverse it back to the original height,it is lowered right now, and the owner does not want it.
Hence my question on the parts ...
And to me, it looks it's got plenty of camber in the lowered position, so they probably did not touch the shims.
What do you think judging the pic?
I received some pics of the underside just now, seems they indeed only changed out the springs (yellow, no brand determined yet).
I was contemplating to use them on my car, but decided against it.
It will be the end of practical use of my car, will not be able to drive it out of my B2 parking without getting beached.

Judging from the photos and the angle of the springs along with the rust spots localized in one general area, i would say these springs have been “lowered” via torch. Block the car to the desired ride height and heat the springs up until they collapse onto the blocks. Extremely bad way to lower a vehicle.
