Default Remote moves side mirrors

Any time I use the remote to unlock the car both side mirrors move way out of adjustment, require re-adjustment.
Anyone know why this happens when using remote to unlock the car.
When locking the car, mirrors don't move.
TIA

I can only think that it has something to do with the entry memory feature.

Try turning the feature off, using the selector on the steering column.

Or, with the feature on, try adjusting your seat/steering wheel/mirrors to positions that suit you and then activate memory one.

The remotes can be programed to preset seat, steering wheel and mirror positions.

What I mean is that one remote can be set for Driver A and the other for Driver B's settings.

I haven't set mine, and I dont know how to program them, but I saw in a Jaguar video that this can be done.

Simply turn the knob on the steering column to "auto", then with the ignition key turned on, set the seat, steering wheel and door mirrors to your preferred position, then press the "memory" button on the driver door armrest, this will illuminate a small red light, then press the position "1" button and a bell will chime indicating that memory configuration has been accepted.

This can be repeated for position "2" and position "3" to suit two other possible drivers' preferences.

To program key fob to any memory position. Save seat, wheel, mirrors etc to any memory position. After chime, press any keyfob's key and another chime is heard. Then it is matched to the current memory position.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I do have that feature OFF, However, I turned it on to attempt setting a memory #1.and the light comes on, pressing one and "ding". But upon key removal the wheel and seat goes back far. Upon reinserting the key and selecting Mem #1 nothing happens. Probably why I turned it off a few years ago. Stumped.

The position sensors are probably faulty.

Good luck with the diagnosis and repair if that is what you want.

Most customers declined the repair when I worked at the dealer years ago.

The 5 sensors are $300 each and the labor was 5 hours.

I would disable the relationship between the keyfob transmitters and the memory positions.

You can read the DTCs from the door modules and seat modules to get the code numbers but it will likely point to the sensors being faulty or non responsive.

More info for diagnosis.
