Replacement of exterior door handle

jag xjr 1999.. exterior left side door handle.. broken.. part i bought doesnot have the key lock feature as does my broken part.. if installed... would I be able to lock/unlock door using the remote? tks

When you replace the door handle, you will see there is shield to avoid easily "slim jimming" the door handle. Remove the shield and at least someone will be able to break into you car without going through one of the windows, destructively.
