Default Replacing '99 XJR Brakes

I'm looking to replace the pads and rotors on my '99 XJR. While searching E-Bay I've come across two companies, IROTORS and DRT (Anyone every use these companies) which both sell drilled/slotted rotors and pads to go with them. Any recommendations with respect to drilled/slotted rotors. Are they worth it or would you just go with blanks. Also, if I go the drilled/slotted route would yourecommend on all 4 corners or just the front. I noticed a bunch of AMG Mercedes around only have them on the fron which has started to convince me to only go with the D/S on the front.

If you are driving on the street only, go with the OEM parts, slotted and drilled rotors have less surface area than stock and actually decrease braking performance. The way they are used is that the pads need to be changed to racing type that operate at higher temps by using more aggressive friction material, needing the slots and holes for additional cooling. The bad side is that racing pads work poorly on the street, braking poorly until very hot and oftensquealing and chattering when cold. Mytake is that these things are bought for looks and the owners put up with the lousy brakes to get them. They are like women's shoes, who are they impressing , guys don't notice.

I agree. Go OE and spend the extra money on something you could really enjoy like buying the wife some fake ****. You'll get more out of them.
