After changing out power seat switch on side and other wiring, what needs to be done to make the driver seat retract when you take the key out of the ignition? Right now, I get nothing.

If turning electric steering wheel adjustment knob to auto position doesen't work. Then i'd say you may have to save current seat position to any memory slot. Or there is calibration issue in the seat sensors.

 

I will post them again.
The sensors used to be $300 EACH and there are 5 in the seat.(don't know how much they are now)
I replaced dozens in new car warranty and only ONE customer pay. (expensive)
If you are going to the expense of disassembling the seat, you might as well replace ALL the sensors.

 

My bad. It was the auto position knob I forgot about. Wow. $500 sensors. No trouble from them -- yet.

 

They used to be $1500 plus labor to replace all the position sensors.
I have no idea what they cost now,
