Default Restricted performance

My forum family.I desparately need your help, my 2000 xj8 with 104k miles is showing restricted performance with code Po357 and Po307 .I've replaced #7 coil, all plugs, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator to no avail I've also swap the new #7 coil with # 3 to eliminate bad from stock possibility. After clearing all codes I start the car all the above codes return any advice as to what to do next would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Sorry, Pedro, wrong forum. This one is for the model after yours, so post in the X308 forum for a better response.

pedromechani c,

I have moved your thread from the forum for the X350 to the forum for the X308, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2000 XJ8. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars.

Cheers,

Don

It's possible that the misfire is causing the crank position sensor to send an error to the ecu. Have you got good compression in cylinder number 7 and a strong spark on that plug?

Here's a link to a video on troubleshooting misfires
