You answered in your other thread. No problem. Did you find it? This could be your restricted performance problem.

Don't get frustrated. I found a flashlight with a weak battery.
1st pic- comming out of cam cover.
2nd- under intake in valley. Yous may not be in the exact same place.
3rd pic- close up of it at the base of the throttle body. Its a T connection and the other end attaches to something else. It's attached to silver nipple.
4th pic- wider view showing the throttle body

Default Pic 1

I do have the outer part in pic one. The piece that looks ribbed and black plastic nothing sticking out though will have to check. I also have the one running in the valley by the knock sensor. Soon as I get the part number I'll get it on order. I greatly appreciate the pic and all the help from the forum. I used to pay to have all work done on my baby times have changed and I must say I enjoy it but it's a long way from the small block chevys I cut my teeth on.

On other thread I gave a link to SnG Barrett. They have one of the better prices on this. About $28.

I've changed plugs, installed a new knock sensor as the other ones wiring was brittle and fraying. What should I check next. There was a time the wife was running regular gas if that matters the tank has premium now. Any help is appreciated as Jag mechanics in my area are few.

Thanks
Hi, I have a 3.0D XF and I suffered with the DPF full and restricted performance mode messages for months and considered selling the car. I bumped into a guy who fixed his after sufferong from the same problems and told me a simple and 100% fix ,now my XF runs as new with no DPF or RPM messages at all now.Firstly add Redex complete diesel clean with a tank of full and run to low fuel message , this will not fix it but will start the cleaning process. Now add a shot of Redex diesel clean every time you fill up and this will fix the problem after around 6 fuel refills . I have been doing this for 6 months now and I am DPF and RPM message free and my car drives like new .

Welcome to the forum Andy,

Fine for a diesel but not something I would consider with a petrol V8 engined X308.

Obviously 😫 You wouldn't use a deisel cleaner on a petrol engin, use the petrol version , it works .

The petrols generally are fine with nothing other than petrol (and normal servicing etc).
