I agree on the knock sensor.... when mine went, it sucked when the restricted performance came on for it and she chugged hard each time I tried to apply descent pedal.

For replacement instruction, this link from Jim Lombardi is priceless.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti0842gz36...Y%20N.pdf?dl=0

The original thread for it is here, you'll note the alternate sensors used instead of the expensive X308 ones. I wound up using knock sensors for a 2005 4.2L, which is said for a XJ8, mine is an XJR and its been over a year with no issues.

thanks ray for the link I checked the sensor in auroparts warehouse it's not 27$ I think that might be old price maybe?

the car still run fine below 2800rpm and shifts normal.

I will check how much is that 2005 4.2l Knock sensor because the knock sensor for my car cost 133$ in rockauto.

Yeah, check the dates of those posts, you have to search because deals come and go. Even the ones I got from NAPA just a year ago aren't even showing up on their website (got them for $67 ea). The pricing CK is showing are pretty good, usually the cost is around $125+ ea.

No one can say what may or may not fail...as far as replacement, mine were almost necessary I replaced both since I have to pull my SC to get to them. For yours, they are readily accessible and if you only need to replace one, that is your choice. You may wish to buy both and replace one,...again, your choice. My attitude is, your there, why not do both....don't let it lapse that these are 17-23 yr old cars, parts will need replacement.

As for the Lincoln sensor...I do not know...perhaps someone with knowledge of that fitment will chime in?

it's easy to change I will change both right and left side .

I think there's some engine parts from 2002 Lincoln LS and 2002 ford thunderbird that can fit into x308 jaguar

I'd change both sensors then you have deleted that problem your car is later than mine
but I thought one of those faults was the MAF when unplugged only went into Restricted mode
The AJ26 does have knock sensors I thought, (still learning about these engines)

Yes, the AJ26 does, but the sensor has a screw on cap vs the nut down version on the AJ27.
