Default Seat Heater Relay Question

I'm guessing the photo below is of the seat heater socket. If I'm correct I'm going to need new relays.

What relay do I want?

Thanks

Eric

All the brown relays are the same, try one from another position. Why do you suspect the relay?

It's absence makes me suspicious. I put in a new set of switches in my previously unheated seat xj8 and wondered why I get no heat and checked the 25 amp fuse which looks fine so I looked under the seat and all I found was the empty socket.

Is there a part number for the "brown" ones?

Thanks

Eric

No relays means NO SEAT HEATERS.
You cannot install a switchpack and relays and expect to suddenly have the seat heater option.

Do the seats ACTUALLY have the heating elements??????

Well I'm guessing that because there is a socket there for the seat heater relay that there is all the related equipment in the seat.

Anyone want to enlighten me with a relay part number?

Thanks

Eric

As far as I know, cars without heat didn't get the switches, and also didn't get the heating elements.
Do some research on the forum for seat heat and you'll find pictures of the heaters and the wiring under the seat.
The relay part number is LJA6703AA.

See this other seat heater thread - look at post# 18.
Our 2001 XJ8 did not have the relay or the seat heater elements.
