Default shock thoughts???

Im in need of new shocks. I just have the standard 308. which im thinking the shocks have never been replaced. It feels like a 90's Cadillac. floats and wallows.
I was thinking bout the green shocks, but idk how that would effect the ride to much due to having standard springs not sport or XJR ones.
whats are the guys thoughts? black or green? crazy firm or standard? would it be to firm with standard springs.
also im going to be changing out my wheels for some pentas, my fav of the jag rims. im sure getting a bigger wheel will also change things.

I put greens on and it still rides like a pillow, but I still have the 16's with 225/60's. I have a set of Penta's but I haven't put new tires on them. yet, so I can't say how they will ride.

I too put Greenies on my XJ8L. Tightened it up and hardly hardened the ride.

Suspension "feel" is a personal thing, I have new OEM Bilstein "Comfort Suspension" shocks on my VDP, and wouldn't want anything any "harder", I love the way it feels.

If you do install new shocks be sure to replace the shock mount donuts when you do the rear ones, they have usually compressed to half their original size by the time the shocks need to be replaced, and are responsible for achieving original correct ride height.

I recently installed genuine Jag black (comfort) Bilsteins, adaptive suspension on my Super V8 (LWB). I also would not want anything harder as the black ones are not really overly "comfortable" but more a compromise between comfort and and stiff. Anyway, I read somewhere that the the difference in stiffness between the black and green ones is not very big.
