How do I find out which shock absorbers are on my 2000 XJ8 Vandenplas Majestic?

Your thread title refers to a 2004 XJ8 but the text of your post then refers to a 2000 XJ8.

I've assumed 2000 is correct as this also appears in your profile and moved your question from S-Type to X300 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

You will have to check on the exact model you have, cause besides of the confusion over the year, there was no x308 (= 1998-2003) Vanden Plas Majestic.
Or post some pictures, we might help you determine the model first.
