Default Should the non-drivers window switches light up at night?

The switch pack on the drivers armrest lights up fine with lights and ignition on. But the window switches on the other 3 doors do not. Is this normal?

I wouldn't normally care, but I've been fixing dash lighting, and replaced the bulbs in the shifter and cruise / sport buttons, as they had all blown, so now it's a case of while I'm at it....

Ok I have the OEM bulbs but my search to get to the passengers' door switch bulbs has not produced.

Can I get to them without removing the whole door panel, like maybe just prying up the wood trim & going from there ?!

Hi,

Yes, all of the window switches should light up. You can't remove them without removing the whole door panel, as the trim is screwed to the door card.
Furthermore you can't buy the bulbs off the Jaguar shelf (like e.g. for the climate control panel or instrument pack). I'll post some pics and details later the day.

Here we go!
You need to pull the the black rectangular rubber socket with the bulb off its two spikes. Then you'll have to unwrap the wires of the bulb and carefully remove the blue cover off the bulb, so that you can re-use it for the new bulb.
As replacement you can use T1 socket bulbs (12V) with long wires as shown in the picture. All bulbs with 0.35 - 0.5 Watt should work - in my opinion 0.4 W is a reasonable compromise between heat and brightness.

The DBC6244 bulbs I bought from Jaguar are already blue so no need for the caps.
