The sidelights,front and rear, on my 1999 3.2 litre XJ8 are not working and the only dash illumination is the speedo,rev counter and fuel gauge.I,ve changed the bulbs - checked the fuses and relays -which were ok - but still no lights.Is it possible that the lighting switch has developed a fault?Headlights and turn indicators work just fine.
I,m desperate to fix this problem as winter is almost upon us and I need to use the car after dark.

 

My guess would be the body control module. But, it's just a guess.

 

Thanks for your help Ken.... Forgive my ignorance...just where and what is the body control unit...suppose it,s pricey to replace... being a Jag.
