Default Slcm fried.. With pics..

My slcm finally fried. I see someone put a x300 slcm in my 2002 Super V8. Which slcm can I pop in and go with?

Default Slcm

Mine did the same a month ago. All I did was get another with the same part Number and fitted it. If you look in the trunk under the vertical carpet on the left hand side you will see a list of all the modules and their part numbers. You will notice that the part numbers in the trunk are followed by a / and 3 numbers. If you can get an SLCM from a car with the same 3 numbers after the / then it is plug and play. If the numbers after the / are different or not available, then as long as the part number on the new unit matches the numbers on the old unit, then it will all work, except the remote locking fob. I had to re-Sync mine in the time honoured way with the headlight stalk and it now all works fine. The fault was causing my brake lights to be on permanently. Hope you have success. Bill W.

Just a quick note... Mine also said X300 because they are the same item on X300 and X308. Looking under the carpet will confirm the Part Number
