Default SLCM Question
I have a 2000 XJ8 with the old style fob, I would like to move to the newer flip-key fob. I know they work with 02 and 03 XJ8s.

Can I just go to a newer SLCM and get new fobs?

Yes but that doesn't take into account that the transmitter of the new style fob doesn't work with older SLCM (pre 2001 I think)

Which is the issue.

My old (MY 99) SCLM and fob worked in my new (MY 02) car, so maybe...
