Drove over to see the car this afternoon. First let me say that I believe he is asking a fair price for the car so nothing I say is intended to contradict that. After all you could probably sell the brakes and supercharger for the price.

-I could not read any codes (except of course P1000) since the battery had been disconnected since last run.
-The car has a brand new MAF
-Does not have fuel delivery either with key on or while cranking (released shrader valve (near the thermostat at front of engine) and no fuel came out) as a consequence the engine cranks but does not start.
-Did not check fuses for continuity, or relay operation. If I was still interested in buying the car I would of course do that next along with a compression check.
-Paint is pretty bad and car appears to not have been garaged, so is in need of a repaint.
-Interior intact but well worn.
-One of the wheels has severe curb rash on the outer ring, but looks like that is replaceable, sure you folks familiar with these wheels would know the answer.
-Awesome brakes (6 piston fronts ?) rotors are worn and need resurfacing, but nothing unusual.
-Rear tires worn out. Front tires are 2008 but have tread remaining.
-The water temp sensor reads correct ambient temperature on my scanner.
-The TPS appears to be operating correctly according to my scanner (goes 10% to 90%) with key on, engine not running.

Hope he finds a buyer, seller is a nice honest guy. If I had two fewer cars right now I would probably take it on.

Doesn't sound like a car to ship across the country.
Maybe fuels pumps?
Thanks for looking!!!

fuel pump you can tell by directly jumping power to the pin in the relay
socket running to the pump.

if you hear a faint whir, the pump is turning. if not, the pump is toast.

on a xjr, do that for both pumps.

We tried that, but I'll have to say that the chart in his manual showed 4 (four) relays all called out as fuel pump relays, so I have no idea whether some are "in series" or what is up with that. Tried each individually with no luck. Need someone more knowledgeable than me to sort that out. On my NA XK8 it was simple enough to run the pump with just one relay for one pump.

the charts are wrong. i have seen some confusing ones.

x
xoxxx
o
----------------bumper

the two "o" mark the locations of the fuel pump relays. the pin functions are deciphered
from the diagram on the side of the relay.

i would draw out the pins but don't have a relay in front of me

The two "o" locations you show were two that we jumpered (30 to 87). In your row of xoxxx there was no relay in the 4th position i.e. xox-x

I tried to contact the guy last week while in Ca. received no rebuttal until I was on the plane back to the east. Guess it wasn't meant to be.
