I've looked through threads and am exhausted. ive found speaker sizes for x type s type but the xj's remain elusive. does anyone know the exact size and depth of the door speakers and tweeters for a 2001 xj8? I've heard 6.5 - ive heard 5.25 - there is a big difference there....

I have a great source for ultra high end drivers and will redoo my system very soon. i need to run some software models before i make my purchase and recommendations to the forum. I will post all the speaker S & T parameters once i get into the deconstruction phase - look for an exciting sub solution

I am reading old posts to the forum and saw your post. I see no one replied, but was wondering what you found out if you dug into the door and made the replacement. I just bought another 01 vdp (had another xj8) and the vdp needs new tweeters and sub woofer. I have not started that project yet, but want to rather soon. Any insight from your digging around?

6.5 inches - overall diameter

6.125 inches - mounting hole spacing

I'm trying to find out the specifications of the tweeters of the XJR year 2000 premium audio system.

there are four of them, two in the A-posts and two in the back doors, behind the handle.
