Started day with B1994 (left air bag deployment control - circuit open) and B2432 (driver's seat belt buckle switch circuit open). These codes have been there since I bought car. Switched left and right seat. Yes, I disconnected battery and discharged system. My theory was that if code stayed the same, issue was in the left side sensor module and if code moved to the other side, issue in left seat airbag. Result was B1994, B2432 and B1998 (right air bag deployment control - circuit open). Before switch, left deployment control resistance was 1 ohm. All others 3 ohms. After switch, left deployment control resistance was 1 ohm and right deployment control resistance 8 ohms. All others 3 ohms. After put seats back in right location, only code B1994. The B2432 somehow disappeared. Any ideas on this mystery?
I made an air bag simulation tool. I had an extra set of wiring from replacing my seat tracks. Spliced that to a 2.7 Ohm resistor. Air bag light no longer stays on. So fault in driver’s seat air bag and not control module. Seat leather has some splits, so now definitely replace.
