Hello. My steering column on my '99 XJ8 is reacting to the headlights being turned on. When the headlight switch is activated the steering column will click its way to the bottom position and continue to click while it stays there. I have no manual control of the switch even without the headlights on. When I turn off the motor the steering column will return to the up position. It will then drop to the low position when the engine is restarted. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a thread I can read. Thank you.
