Default Stupid question - XJ8 to XJR conversion

Hi, guys
I'm feeling lack of perfomance with a XJ8, but there's no XJR's in a good condition available on the market. Import of the XJR is almost impossible.
So - 2 options here:
1. Get a swap kit from jaguarspecialities and implant LS-series engine. Good engine, with lots of power. But it will be a modded car with a alien powertrain.
2. Get an XJR donor with a rotted body and bad interior and swap everything into mine XJ8 (during the swap process i can also rebuild a suspension, tensioners and so on).
On a second route - i suppose that i should swap:
-engine and tranny
-ECM and TCM
-Instrument cluster
-Engine wiring
-Intercooler pump
-Fuel tank with fuel pumps
Anything else i've forgot to mention (like exhaust, under-dash wiring, other electronic modules, driveshaft and so so)?
Thanks so much

whatever route you decide, it's a big job for a car of low value.

I rebuilt one from the ground up into a new shell and know it's not an easy or fast job. There'll be things you'll come across that set you back. Even in the UK I found some parts hard to find. A donor is the best option as all the modules wiring harnesses etc will be the least problematic.

The value of this car is not so low in Russia.
I've rebuild this car too -
new engine (swapped by myself)
rebuilt transmission (did it by myself)
rebuilt suspension (frt. and rr - by myself)
and so on. Body is in a perfect condition.

That's why i'm considering only a parts car for XJR conversion. But there's no need in a donor car for a LS conversion.
And, speaking about a conversion to an XJR, i'm wondering if i'll need to change the underdash wiring and other things, that will require too much disassebly procedures.

Yes, S/C and non S/C dash looms, power columns, IPK, BCM etc etc are all different.

Why not just buy an R? There must be a few in Germany/France/Netherlands/etc?

Ouch, that hurts. Then it's better to go a LS way...

I must pay approx.35000$ of customs fees to get the russian title for the european/american XJR No way.
