Angry Supercharger Failed

Came out of the store, started the car and things went south fast. The supercharger has come apart. Not sure what to do from this point, found a couple re-manufactured online. Any ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean came apart. It is common for the plastic coupler to come apart inside, but it is an easy repair.

Car ran great on way to store. When I came out it didn't want to start, when it did the motor shook really bad, touched the gas peddle and it made on awful crunching noise, sounded like a rod knocking bad but it was in the intake. You could lay your hand on the supercharger and feel it.

Will get supercharger off car tomorrow and let you know. I'm assuming the one you have is in good working order. I will contact you soon and let you know what I want to do. Thanks so much for letting me know. If mine is FUBAR and yours is in good condition, it is sold.

I recently had a similar "adventure" with my 2000 XJR. I was dumb and didn't police my bolts while doing some unrelated work, and one ended up in my blower wedged under a rotor. I replaced it with a low mile Generation 5 Eaton M112 off of an 04 XJR (the X308s came with the Generation 3). The gen 5 has much bigger rotor bearings, a better coupler design, and better port shapes. It should be much more durable, and it definitely has better boost holding capabilities at high rpm, boost doesn't fall on it's face anymore over 5000 rpm like it used to. It was pretty easy, the only out of the ordinary change was having to clearance the inlet elbow for the bigger bearings. I highly, highly recommend it while you've got the blower off anyway. IMO it's the best supercharger option short of a twin screw.

my original supercharger experienced a very failed coupler to the point that the rotors inside the supercharger were rubbing on each other. had the gen 5 internals installed, car has been good ever since

Ok just found that the driver's side back cylinder is damaged. I'm not going to fix it. Will place car up for sale for around $2000.00. Or I may part it out.

One cylinder is damaged, car ran great till that happened. Sale for $2000 or parting it out.
