2004 Xj8 is in the shop due to code p0705(transmission range sensor) and p1000(system check not complete)

Shop is saying that the TCM needs replaced, fuel pump needs replaced, and shifter assemnly needs replaced. They are quoting it at $8,400. Do you guys think thats accurate? Also, they are saying the fuel pump is out, but the car starts, i just cant move the shifter.

used tcm from 04 NA car will start. range sensor can be repaired but takes skills so no point

 

You could just get a different X-308 car for that.
