Default telephone mechanic

hi to all I report this my experience I went to the unofficial Jaguar store 40 km from my house and twice was not in the store once the second was closed or made an appointment with him in person and was not found. today I call him again several times (at the phone number of the shop) and after 4/5 phone calls he replies to him explaining that hot and only hot (after 70 / 80Km) with gasoline problems, reduced performance poor mixture sometimes bank 1 Sometimes you show 2 that I have LPG and that it is good for LPG. he replies that the valves are the problem and also the lambda probes, he says (without having seen my Jag) and without having tried it, he says that I don't have hydraulic valves and that's why there are problems here on the forum I had realized that the 4liti engines with VVt had hydraulic valves or am I wrong? can the most experienced advise me?

No hydraulic valve lifters. Solid. With 4.0L normally aspirated engine, VVT. Since almost all of us are running gasoline, not liquid propane, I doubt you can find much help.

Maybe Gabriel can help: I think he changed over to LPG. gabrielbecheanu

The various free downloads go into a lot of detail on the engines if you want to check.

Hello Roldano,

As Jhartz mentioned, the majority of members of this forum are running petrol/gasoline. You may find more help with LPG issues by posting your questions at jaguarforum.com (no "s" after forums). You might also visit jag-lovers.org and search for jagsongas, the username of a gent in the U.K. named Steve Sparrow who is very knowledgeable about LPG systems.

Cheers,

Don

I have gasoline problem with LPG it goes well it doesn't turn on engine warning light, the VVt system must be controlled the valve down if you every how many Km? I have done 12000Km since I made the chain tensioners and chains the mechanic I think that at that moment he checked, he told me that everything was ok

except an update today I went to the mechanic and after having tried it and made the diagnosis tells me that: the problem is the upper lambda probes (with him driving did not give anomalies) this petrol then tells me that the front brake discs are to be changed because (only in heavy braking you can hear the steering wheel vibrate) and finally suggest that you mount three ground cables a frame motor, a frame change and a frame battery, all for 200 euros of work I bring the material.
