Don't know if this has been posted before, but it seems that TPSs are available as a separate item now on ebay. Don't know what quality, but they are less than $100.
Might save someone paying $3000 for a complete new throttle body.

They've been on ebay for awhile, thing is your taking a chance on them since they are a used/pre-owned item just stripped off the TB, probably at a recycle yard.

 

There are 2 position sensors in the TB - Throttle Position and Accelerator Position. The throttle position one (smaller of the two) is sold on Ebay also as new, made in China, for as low as $15-20. The bigger accelerator position sensor is not available as new and it only shows on Ebay occasionally as used.
