Default Trac not available

Hi, every time I start the engine, after the system check warning, I always see the message "trac not available", but only for a flicker, just a second, then it's gone. Is this something to be concerned about?

Charge the battery or get a new one.

Check your ABS and follow these instructions if it hasn't been done already...JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

Hey Highorse, thanks for that tip, but need to remind myself not to drill too hard or else I'll be looking for a new module, ha ha. So you think it's not just the battery huh?

Oh, it could be the battery...definitely get it checked. But this is a common fix, had to do it on mine, its simple and eliminates a weak point even if it isn't the issue you have. It drills pretty easy, so yeah, go lightly. I didn't take a chance, I started with the pilot bit just out enough to get a groove going. Then I took the pilot out and lightly continued.
A quick note, instead of using the tape as they do, get a plastic plug the same size as the hole saw you use. You can get them from Lowes special parts bin, it a cleaner unnoticeable look.
