tranny noise after fluid/filter change
Changed the tranny fluid/filter in my 02 XJ at 80K miles. Well, had a shop do it for me with parts from Ken at Brittish MotorSport. Fluid looked horrible coming out.
Since, I get a turbine like noise when accelerating crisply in low gear or from low RPM. Basically it is not there if light acceleration and gets better with harder acceleration. It is not present at higher RPM. This makes me think that it is not developing sufficient pressure, however the tranny is full of fluid, so the obvious may be ruled out.
Suggestions?

The tranny could be overfilled. It takes someknowledge and the right tools to get the level right. I would see to ths before going anywhere else.
The fluid should be at 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) when it stops trickling out of the fill hole. Never more than 122 degrees F (50 degrees C). Source, alldatadiy.

Greetings Trains,
It would be really beneficial to know what type of fluid was pumped into your transmission. I only use the specified Esso transmission fluid, and have never had a negative consequence...
so I can't offer any knowledgeable advice on the symptom you're having now.
