Default transmission dipstick rental request for XJR

Hi

Any brother here has the Mercedes-Benz transmission dipstick that I can borrow since I intend to change the ATF.

I am willing to pay the around trip shipping

has anyone here done with without it at all?

I used a choke cable sheath, 3.5" from the bottom of the pan, warm, in park was the spec I came up with, no problems.

Why not buy one, they are cheap enough, here is an example:

Important is the oil temp, you need to know what it is before you measure. Also take into account that an IR heatgun will probably read about 10% lower temp when aiming at the oil pan.

I have one you could borrow but since they're pretty cheap, it would be best for you to buy one. More so if you have to pay for shipping back and forth.

I have one more question regarding the lock-pin, once I opened it,do I need to replace with a new one?

I keep one in stock for customers that seem really picky about keeping the car in absolute original condition. If it were mine I would just put the cap and 'O'ring seal back in and go on with my life.
