Transmission Fluid Level by Measurement

Transmission Fluid Level by Measurement
Is there anybody with a DipStick for the XJR that could do me a favor? Can you check your level with your Dipstick, then measure the stick from the point it hits the top of the DipStick tube to the Correct level on the stick?
I've got a stick that reaches the fluid, but I don't know the accurate level on mine. If I had that measurement, I could just check it against my stick.
I just don't want to pay $30-$110 for a dipstick if mine will do the job. I'd rather spend the money on a fluid change.
Thank you in advance.

So I picked up my new dipstick. The measurement you need is not actually from the top of the tube to the oil level. The stick is actually longer than the tube by several inches. The measurement that is usefull is from the end of the stick that hits the bottom of the pan to the oil level. There are two marks on the stick depending on temp. The low cool temp mark is about a half inch from the bottom of the stick.
The high temp mark (75C) is about 1.5 inches from the bottom of the stick. I will get you exact measurements soon, but somehow every method of accurate measurement in my house has disappeared in the last 24 hours. I know the car is very sensitive to low fluid levels, and know that my 99 xjr now works flawlessly at the one inch mark when the car has been running for five minutes. Adding even a cup of fluid makes a huge difference.

I found a 100mm ruler....
so the bottom of the low temp(25C) mark is 9mm from the end at the bottom of the pan, while the top end of the low temp range is at 20mm.
The bottom of the operating temp (80C) range is 53mm, while the top is 64mm. If I can ever find a tape measure, I will tell you the measurement to the top of the tube...with the 100mm ruler I cant be accurate enough to make it worthwile.
